The Tarkwa Archdeaconry is a vibrant and growing part of the Anglican Diocese of Sekondi, located in the heart of Ghana’s Western Region. Rooted in a rich history of faith and mission, the Archdeaconry serves as a spiritual and pastoral hub for numerous parishes and congregations across the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality and surrounding areas.

Strategically situated in a region known for mining, education, and diverse communities, the Archdeaconry plays a crucial role in nurturing discipleship, promoting social outreach, and proclaiming the Gospel in word and deed. The clergy and lay leaders of Tarkwa are committed to deepening the Anglican witness through worship, teaching, and service that meets both spiritual and practical needs.

From traditional liturgical worship to youth and community development initiatives, the Tarkwa Archdeaconry continues to grow as a beacon of hope, unity, and transformation—grounded in Scripture, guided by tradition, and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
